Karen Moore, Owner and President of Moore Interiors Inc, believes the greatest skill an interior designer can master is “LISTENING”. Taking the time to really hear what the Client wants to accomplish and make it real.
Recently the winner of the 2010 ASID awards in the residential silver and bronze categories for Media/Home Theater & Outdoor Living. Karen has also been published in many magazine including Houston’s House and Home’s February 2000, 2007 & 2008 issues as well as Better Homes and Gardens Winter 1996 issues each dedicate testimony to Karen’s talent for listening and taking concept to reality. Karen is featured as one of the Finest Interior Designers from the ASID Texas Gulf Coast in 2005 tabletop publication Designed in Texas. Recent publications include Houston Chronicle’s Gloss-December 2009 and Veranda 2010.
Karen is a Graduate of the University of Houston; with a Business degree majoring in Real Estate completed Rice University’s Executive Business Management Program; Attended the Art Institute of Houston obtaining a degree in Interior Design graduating Magna Cum Lade and Holds a Real Estate Broker’s License. Her experience includes over 20 years of combined Commercial Tenant Build-out construction and Management; Retail Showroom Management; and Residential Design. Areas of expertise range from Architectural review, Concept development, furniture selection and layout; space planning and complete finish specification. Karen’s talents range from New Construction to Remodeling of both Residential and Commercial project. Moore Interiors has built their reputation by turning Client’s hopes, wishes and dreams into physical, functional reality. Karen’s personal goal is to “Help you figure out what you really like and want; and then supply the expertise, resources and talent to create the environment that reflects your unique and personal tastes.
