Elizabeth Koval, ASID, CAPS, CKD has been designing for fifteen years in both residential and commercial interior design. Her notable skills in conceptual design have earned her a reputation as a premiere designer, garnering features in many residential showcases and industry publications such as SouthPark Luxury Living Magazine, North Carolina Classic Design Elements Magazine, Premier Properties,

Elizabeth has also written for South Carolina Home and Garden magazine and was a three time award winner for the 2009 ASID design awards for projects including Hospitality/Restaurant design, Outdoor Living Spaces, and Residential Remodels over 3500 square feet as well as an award winner for the 2010 ASID design awards for Commercial space.

Elizabeth has an affinity for elements of structural design. Inspired by her parents, both interior designers, Elizabeth grew up surrounded and intrigued by the business. Her degree is from FIDER (Foundation for Interior Design Education Review) Winthrop University, where she studied fine art and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design. Elizabeth also studies abroad, gaining a wide appreciation for architecture and design.

Today, she carries on the family tradition creating beautiful, yet functional spaces tailored to each of her client’s needs.
Working for a number of years in renovation and architectural interior design, Elizabeth has a strong background in technical skills including lighting design, kitchen and bath cabinet design, and is well versed in space planning, scale and proportion, and has the practical ability to communicate and collaborate on the technical level with architects, contractors and tradesmen.

Elizabeth’s passion for interior design is reflected in the beautiful surroundings she creates. She takes great pride in listening to clients’ needs and dreams all the while creating the right solution to suit individual lifestyles and needs. She is a Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD), a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) and a long-time member of American Society of Interior Design (ASID) and is a licensed interior designer. She has served on the board of ASID, been a Showhouse Liaison (managing eighteen designers and the property owner during renovations of a showhouse), and is a current committee member of ASID. She has participated in many speaking engagements for groups such as the GHBA (Greater Houston Builders Association) and among other peers in related industries.

After owning her Charlotte-based firm for over seven years, she made the move to Houston after a client’s renovation helped her fall in love with the city and all of its wonderful design resources.

Outside of designing, Elizabeth is a patron of the arts and is actively involved in her community. She has been a member of the Junior League of Charlotte and the Junior League of Houston for over 10 years and has held various leadership positions within the organization. She is a member of the Houston Grand Opera, Houston Ballet, Houston Symphony, and a sustaining member of the Junior League of Houston.
