Designer Profile

Dena has practiced interior design for over 30 years in Houston and Boston. She is Texas licensed and a professional member of The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). Dena served on its Gulf Coast Chapter’s board of directors and has edited their membership newsletter and chaired their referral service. She is currently serving as the chair of CEU's. Her award-winning residential projects (see below) range from starter homes to large estates. Commercial projects include offices, health care facilities, educational and religious institutions. Projects include new construction and remodeling.

To assure that Dena’s designs reflect the individuality of her clients, she first focuses on their unique requirements and desires and incorporates them into an integrated design program. She meets with all family members or office staff, as an integral part of the process.

Dena has years of experience collaborating with architects, contractors, and craftsmen. She illustrates and clearly communicates her design ideas using the latest tools in design technology such as AutoCad™, Photoshop™, 2020™ (for kitchen and bath designs), DreamDraper™ (for drapery treatments) and e-mail, completing projects in a timely and efficient manner. She specifies or purchases plumbing and electrical fixtures, tile and flooring materials, hardware, fabrics and furniture from sources throughout Houston and the United States.
