Nina Magon is a worldly, fashion-forward, yet historically educated interior designer that has a passion for creating client spaces that are singular and have personalities that are reflective of those very clients.
For a broader more widespread education, she received a Bachelor of Science in Economics & Finance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX and proceeded to obtain further education in design and architecture from The Art Institute. She has worked in design, construction and architecture for several years and in 2006, constructed and designed her first speculative house from start to finish in the very elite neighborhood of West University in Houston, TX. The home sold close to a million dollars a couple of months prior to completion.
Nina’s role with Contour is to create a vision, and execute that for all of her clients. The final product is a one of a kind environment tailored to their unique tastes. She is dedicated to creating and sustaining the project vision from design concept to technical detail. She and her talented, remarkable team, have an extensive referral list which drives the majority of the business. She is continuously educated with the most updated information as she is a member of The International Interior Design Assoc. (IIDA), Interior Design Society (IDS), American Association of Interior Designers (ASID) & The Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA).
Fun Facts about Nina:
She was awarded 2nd runner up in the Miss Asia America Texas Pageant in 2001
She won “Best in Interview” in the same pageant
She founded the Houston Chapter of TIE-FE now known as Young TIE ( The Young Indus Entrepreneurs), in 2002.
Prior to starting in interior design, she designed and sold high-end European lingerie in her own interior designed boutique in the Houston Galleria by the name of “Vinodini Lingerie” , in 2002.
Nina dedicates her free time to many different non-profit organizations in the Greater Houston area
