Peer Table Ground Rules
Experience shows that the groups that succeed have done so because they have acknowledged and honored the following:
COMMITMENT: 6 to 8 members agree to be there every time – on time
Members that miss should be asked to join another group.
CONFIDENTIALITY: Since everything said is nothing more than each person’s latest thought (then it disappears in the ether), members feel safe. Members understand that human nature requires constant reminders of the importance of confidentiality.
NO ADVISING: Members freely share feedback and information, ask questions
of others and become listening and sounding boards for each other, rather than dispensing advice. Members know that each person will grow and learn in their own way and in their own time.
